Assistant Principal Chaquasha Tomlin
Greetings Bernd Elementary School Valued Stakeholders:
It gives me immense pleasure to introduce myself as your newest Assistant Principal! I am truly excited to be a part of the team and I look forward to our work together in the days, weeks, months, and years ahead. I am excited to join a community of people that are truly instrumental in ensuring the academic, social, and emotional success of the people we serve…our students.
This is not my first tour in Bibb County. I served the students of Bibb County as a classroom teacher at Westside High, before moving to Savannah, Georgia. In my years of experience as an educator, I have played pivotal roles including serving as a department chair, MTSS Coordinator, Teacher Induction Specialist, and most recently, Instructional Coach. I have a strong passion for building positive Professional Learning Communities where teachers can collaborate and exchange ideas and talk about the success of students or strengthen the success of students. My mission and vision at Bernd Elementary is to continue that work while maintaining an inclusive and nurturing environment that will empower students to reach their full potential.
I believe that effective communication is critical to move forward. I also believe that together, we can ensure that Bernd Elementary School continues to be a place where students are inspired to learn, grow, and lead. I am excited about getting to know each and every one of you - parents, guardians, staff, and community partners. If you have ideas or are interested in working collaboratively to support the success of our students, I implore you to contact me.
I look forward to building strong relationships and collaborating with others. Thank you for your continued dedication to Florence Bernd Elementary School. I am humbled and honored to serve as your Assistant Principal.
Yours in Education,
Chaquasha D. Tomlin, Ed.S. Assistant Principal
